Hawkeye Safety is the new division of Turner Safety.  Hawkeye specializes in staffing & consultation services, which includes providing on-site safety management professionals that can solve problems at the source. Accident investigation, Root Cause Analysis and Safety Engineering are just a few of the Risk Management services we can provide locally and nationwide.

webpic-20-advisors Steve Turner has over 40 years combined construction and safety experience. He is a nationally recognized OSHA safety trainer in Construction and Gen’l Industry subjects and is accredited by the Insurance Institute of America (IAI) for Risk Management .

Turner Safety has been providing training services to professionals in construction safety since 2004. Assisting business managers with Fed & Cal OSHA compliance and accident prevention programs is our specialty. We know  and speak ‘SAFETY’.  We stay on top of the latest regulatory changes in OSHA regulations to make your job easier.

Dennis Gallagher has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry.Dennis Gallagher is our Equipment and EPA LEAD Trainer. He has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He has managed residential home owner projects from initial building phase, pre-walk inspection and quality control. In addition, he has supervised hazardous mold remediation project from trouble shooting – removal of the problem and build back – environmental testing.  He is bringing all of his experience and expertise to make sure students get the most out of our Safety Classes.

Skip Bloom Skip Bloom: Skip joins our team this year in providing a new and valuable service for our clients: CPR & First Aid.  Gleaning from his extensive background as a fire captain and EMT, he has been teaching for 26 years.  He is currently the owner/operator of Emergency Medical Training.

Field Sales Mgr/ equipment trainer, Don Moschella is a former private school principal.

Field Sales Manager/ Equipment Trainer, Don Moschella is a former private school principal and has successfully made the transition from public education to occupational safety. He is an accomplished safety instructor. Don devotes his considerable skills to teaching courses such as Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout, Forklift, and Scissor Lift.

Stephen E. Nash/ CSP has over 30 years in Safety & Health.  His experience is broad and includes multi-employer projects with Parsons, Bechtel, Army Corps of Engineers and dozens of ‘Heavy Civil’ contractors like Granite and Balfour Beatty.

He is a well respected professional in the safety community.  This is his 2nd year at Turner Safety.   As a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Stephen is able to build safety programs from the ground up and handle accident investigation, Cal OSHA consultations and Workers Comp issues.

His easy going training style and hands on approach make him a favorite of those who take our 30 HR, Excavation, Traffic Safety, Rigging & Aerial Lift classes.

Calvin ‘Les’ Haddix , OSHA Trainer Safety Consultant   

Les Haddix is a US Navy (retired) safety professional with a Masters in Occupational Safety & Health.  In addition he has a Bachelor of Science, Higher Education Management from Florida Metropolitan University.  He is well versed in almost any OSHA compliance matter and we’re proud to have him as our newest safety professional.

His experience includes large Civil Engineering projects where his role in managing safety was at the highest level.  Les is an experienced instructor and has over 30 years in Safety here in California.  He is in his first year with Turner Safety.

Master Electrician, Joe Buhowsky

Joe teaches our NFPA 70E Arc Flash certificate program.  Joe Buhowsky’s 35 years of experience in the electrical trades has made him an expert in “How to do it Safely”.   He also trains for the IBEW union apprenticeship program on low voltage and green energy systems.   Joe teaches our NFPA 70E Arc Flash certificate program.

James Mendoza – Business Development/Consultant and accredited OSHA Outreach Trainer for Construction.

James attended the University of Texas at Arlington.  James comes to Turner Safety with over 20 years of experience with safety in the construction of ‘greenfield sites’ in the Telecom industry. He is utilizing his safety training from that industry to bring a new awareness to our safety classes.  James is also bi-lingual which helps us to expand our classes with training in Spanish when needed.

James is a gifted speaker and we always gets positive comments from his safety training students.   James teaches OSHA 10 & 30, Rigging & Crane signals, Traffic Safety, Aerial LIft, Forklift and Fall Protection classes.
