Turner Safety was established in 2004 and works with construction and general industry clients to manage safety in the workplace. Our large client list includes contractors such as, Turner Construction, BN Builders, Plantco, CMI, Webcor, US Steel, State Fund, Stanford, UC, IBEW, Swinerton, DPR, Berkeley Cement, Jacobs, Build Group, Restec, Roberts/Obayashi, Herrero and hundreds more. Turner Risk Consulting works closely with insurance carriers and their policyholders to develop and implement risk control & safety programs for business. Our primary territory is Northern California but we also serve most of the Western States.

He is recognized by his peers as a competent OSHA construction trainer and is accredited by both FED & CAL OSHA to teach construction safety.  Steve earned his professional Risk Management credential from the Insurance Institute of America and is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers/San Francisco chapter.

Turner Safety has been training people in construction safety since 2004. Assisting business managers with Cal OSHA compliance and loss control problems is our specialty. We know California business and how it works. We stay on top of regulatory changes in Workers Comp and OSHA regulations to make your job easier.


Dennis Gallagher has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry.Dennis Gallagher is our Equipment and EPA LEAD Trainer. He has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He has managed residential home owner projects from initial building phase, pre-walk inspection and quality control. In addition, he has supervised hazardous mold remediation project from trouble shooting – removal of the problem and build back – environmental testing.  He is bringing all of his experience and expertise to make sure students get the most out of our Safety Classes.


Davy Gadd: Davy brings a unique skill set to our safety team. Davy Gadd:  Davy brings a unique skill set to our safety team.  His former job as a California teacher combined with 15 years of Construction has given him valuable experience.  He is an effective speaker and has become one of the best safety trainers in the Bay Area.

Davy is our Senior Safety Trainer.  He teaches OSHA 10 & 30, Traffic Controls, Confined Space, Scaffold, and Fall Protection.  In addition he is an accomplished Forklift, Aerial-lift and Rigging trainer.


Skip Bloom Skip Bloom: Skip joins our team this year in providing a new and valuable service for our clients: CPR & First Aid.  Gleaning from his extensive background as a fire captain and EMT, he has been teaching for 26 years.  He is currently the owner/operator of Emergency Medical Training.


Field Sales Mgr/ equipment trainer, Don Moschella is a former private school principal.

Field Sales Manager/ Equipment Trainer, Don Moschella is a former private school principal and has successfully made the transition from public education to occupational safety. He is an accomplished safety instructor. Don devotes his considerable skills to teaching courses such as Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout, Forklift, and Scissor Lift.


Joshua Gallagher recently began his 2nd  year as a trainer with Turner Safety. His easy going training style and hands on approach are a favorite to those who take our Bobcat Skid Steer and Forklift equipment classes.

Keith was born in San Francisco and grew up in the East Bay.  He then attended the University of California at Davis where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.  He is a Registered Professional Engineer with 35 years of engineering, construction, and safety experience.  His teaching style is interactive and he is committed to providing safety concepts, regulatory information & practical experience in a manner that increases the safety of each student.


Electrical Safety Instructor- Joe Buhowsky

Joe Buhowsky’s 35 years of experience in the electrical trades has made him an expert in “How to do it Safely”   He also trains for the union apprenticeship program on low voltage and green energy systems.

 


 

James Mendoza – Business Development/Consultant and Certified OSHA 500 Trainer.

James attended the University of Texas at Arlington and has done some classes at UC Berkeley. He is currently continuing to further his education by studying for his CHST.  James comes to Turner Safety with over 20 years of experience with safety in the construction of greenfield sites in the Telecom industry. He is utilizing his safety training from that industry to bring a new awareness to our safety classes.  James is also bi-lingual which helps us to expand our classes with training in Spanish when needed. James is currently teaching OSHA 10 &30, Rigging, Aerial LIft, Forklift and Fall Protection classes.
